AccuOrtho is a medical technology company founded in 2021, dedicated to enhancing surgical quality and reducing surgeons’ workload through advanced technology.
Its core products focus on highly portable mixed reality (MR) navigation systems, including AccuHip for hip replacement and AccuKnee for knee replacement procedures.
Problem | Traditional hip and knee replacement surgeries rely heavily on the surgeon's experience, while existing navigation systems are expensive and space-consuming, adding to the operating room's burden. The goal was to design a cost-effective solution that reduces the surgeon's cognitive load, enhances surgical precision to lower revision rates, and is more accessible to patients.
Solution | Designed an integrated hardware and software Mixed Reality (MR) surgical navigation system. I restructured complex surgical workflows and established a new MR interaction logic, translating real-time physiological data into an intuitive and clear visual guidance interface.
Outcome | Enhanced the clarity and operational efficiency of clinical surgical workflows. The design successfully attracted funding from physician investors and assisted the team in securing government startup grants.
